Alfred Nyagaka Nyamwange was born in Kisii County of Kenya. He learned at Mokorogoinwa primary school, Kiomiti and Nyamagwa Mixed secondary schools, Kisii High school, University of Nairobi, Kenyatta University and Kampala University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Literature from Kisii University. He has for some time taught English language and literature in Kenyan high schools and colleges. He promotes language, literature and culture-related aspects and loves working with the youth. His short stories anthology, The Woman Called Angel is the first such a work in that category. Two novels, The Blood Stains and The Broken Column have recently been published. His poems and Short Stories have appeared in publications such as Kistretch 7th Edition, an anthology, Shackles of Pain, The Writers’ Pen blog and Magazines. A children’s story, The Smell of New Shoes has just been released to the market. He also runs a personal blog, thysysnanga.com where some of his works appear. His literary articles and papers have been published in various Kenyan and international journals and communication platforms.
