Dickson Jere

Dickson Jere is a lawyer, and seasoned journalist and public relations professional with vast experience in the Zambian and African political landscape. He was Presidential Advisor and Spokesman for retired Zambian President Rupiah Banda.  Prior to that he served as Chief Analyst for Press and Public Relations attached to State House, Lusaka, Zambia.

Dickson was deeply involved in the campaign team that saw Banda elected president of Zambia. As well, he earlier on worked in campaign teams of previous presidential candidates, Dean Mung’omba (1996) and the late Anderson Mazoka (2001).

Dickson has been  a correspondent for Agence France Presse (AFP) and is a member of the Media Institute of Southern Africa.

Dickson holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Zambia and a Diploma in Journalism and Public Relations from Evelyn Hone College of Applied Arts and Commerce. He has post-graduate training in Radio Production from the CIFAP Institute in Paris in addition to completing courses in Investigative Reporting at the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism in South Africa.

He is presently the Chielf Executive Office of Brentwood Public Affairs Limited, a media and public relations company operating out of Lusaka, Zambia.
