Nsemia Inc. Publishers congratulates writer Anisur Rahman for the recognition of his work, I am Sheikh Mujib: an Epic Monologuehas been received globally and most recently in China.

According to the Business Post, writer Anisur Rahman’s  I am Sheikh Mujib: an Epic Monologue won recognition at the 5th Boao International Poetry Award ceremony held in Shanghai, China, on December 7th, 2022.  This annual ceremony recognizes outstanding poetry collections across the world.

I am Sheikh Mujib: an Epic Monologue is about Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of the state of Bangladesh.  According to the author, he put this work in honour of the founding father of his land of birth and his commitment to the cause of serving the people of Bangladesh.

Nsemia Inc. Publishers proudly applaud Anisur Rahman for this global recognition.  We are honoured to be associated with Anisur Rahman through the publication of his translated works in Kiswahili. In this respect, we have published Mimi ni Shehe Mujib: Uzungumzi  Nafsi , the Kiswahili translation of I am Sheikh Mujib: an Epic Monologue by Kelvin Kombo Motuka and Seynab Haji.

We have also published  Dawit Isaak and Mashairi Teule, Kiswahili translations by Kelvin Kombo Motuka and Seynab Haji of Dawit Isaak (a fantasy documentary play) and  Lost Poems (a collection of poems) by the author.

It is on the basis of this collaboration that the Swedish Arts Council supported our participation at the Gutenberg Book Fair in September 2022. We treasure the continued relationship with the author and his deep global networks.
