Jaspher Rori was born in West Mugirango, Nyamira County, Kenya. He studied at Moi Forces Academy and University of Nairobi, graduating with a degree in Agriculture. He later obtained a diploma in Project Management from Kenya Institute of Management.

Presently he is enrolled in post-graduate studies in Project Planning and Management at the University of Nairobi Jaspher has worked as a high school teacher, and a manager in the tea industry in Kenya.

He likes writing on a number of themes with special interest in Gusii history, culture, proverbs and sayings. He credits this passion to his parents and grandparents who were keen storytellers with many of these tales shared in evening fireside chats. Jaspher is currently working on The Eye of Mayenga, a novel set in a typical African village and captures challenges of life in such an environment. 

This is in addition to his interest in Gusii History, Culture, Proverbs and Sayings.
