Evelyn Ongogo Okoth is a teacher, a writer, and a poet. She completed her O levels at Asumbi Girls High school and trained as a P1 teacher at Kigari Teachers Training College. Later, she pursued her Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Literature at the University of Nairobi and is currently undertaking her Master’s degree in Linguistics at the same University. Evelyn is passionate about children and has written various published and unpublished children’s stories and poems. She has made significant contributions to the Elocution section in the Kenya Music Festivals Syllabi. Moreover, her work has been featured in “An Anthology of Short Stories and Poems from East Africa” edited by Iddah Aoko Otieno (Sentia Publishing).
